This place is such a hidden gem!! Everything we had was absolutely amazing!! Gator bites for an appetizer, salad bar was delicious, soup delicious!! I can’t say enough! Super affordable and staff were so friendly. We will be stoping by again next time we come through town!!
Fantastic discovery today driving from North Myrtle Beach to Charlotte. The food was so delicious. All members of my party were very happy. We had the grouper tacos (a special), double cheese burger with fries, chicken tenders and fries, chicken sandwich, okra, and pecan bread pudding. Pecan bread pudding was totally worth the calories!!!
Delicious and a really eclectic selection of food. I had the 4 cheese and bacon melt sandwich. We also had the fried mushrooms. There version of potato chips had dry ranch on them. Really, really good.
Oliver’s isn’t trying to be anything besides a family restaurant in a small town. No frills, just good food. We were desperately looking for a place to sit down on our way into Richmond County and found Oliver’s on Google. Charming. Delicious. Well-priced. I loved the nostalgic salad bar. The wings were fresh, hot, flavorful, crispy, and not too spicy. I ordered the ribeye special. Cooked to medium rare as requested. Baked potato was pretty regular but served with real butter. Meat was good quality all around. My fiance ordered the fried pork chops. Southerner Stamp of Approval. Two chops, fried okra, and mashed potatoes with brown gravy for 14.95. A price you can’t beat. I would comment that they were more of a chicken fried style over the lighter breading one often finds in southern home cooking. Moist, crispy, well seasoned. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll be back.
I can’t say enough about this place! I drive an hour to eat here from time to time because it’s a halfway point for me and some family members to meet, and I’m never disappointed. We all come back for the pecan bread pudding, and today I had the shrimp po boy, which was out of this world! Service is always nice and quick! Everyone works as a team there! 10/10. I wish you could open more locations!
Found this hidden gem on google maps. Great place to stop on the way back from the beach to Charlotte. Prices are reasonable. Place was buzzing on a Friday night. We were 2 people but we only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Would definitely recommend!!! I had the salmon with wild rice and broccoli. Delicious. My husband had the double burger and he said it was really good.
Little gem in a run down town. Traveling from Charlotte to Pinehurst and stopped in for a quick dinner off of the great Google reviews. Did not disappoint. We give 5 stars. We were originally concerned because the adjacent neighborhood is run down, but this place did not disappoint! Great staff. Fresh food and too many choices to decide. Will definitely be back on another time of traveling through.
Stopped by here only for the Alligator, ended up ordering the Alligator, pork chops with brown gravy, Fried pickels and the French Onions soup. I Gotta say Nothing was disappointing. All the food was wonderful the Alligator tail was probably some of the best I've ever had the pieces are huge. The pork Chops were cooked wonderfully the flavor was amazing. The French onion soup is the best I've ever had. And the Atmosphere here is wonderful it has a down to earth feel I love it. Linsay and Deborah took amazing care of me, my drinks never ran empty they was fun and got food out quick even with a packed restaurant they was busting butt making sure everyone was taken care of. If you're ever in the area stop by and give this place a chance.
